It’s designed for you to come solo and we hand select your spot at a table with 5 or 6 people who are similar in age, share similar interests, and genuinely want to make new friends.
We do two rounds, the first with your curated table where you have dinner together, and the second round you get to choose your own group!

Anyone in Melbourne, any gender, aged 20-40, who wants to make new friends!
We get people who are new to Melbourne, locals who feel like their old friends are on a different path to them, extroverts who are social butterflies, introverts who are getting out of their comfort zone, people who already have friends but just want to meet new people and have variety in their friendship circle, or people who just love a good convo over some good food!

When you book your ticket, you can tell us a bit about yourself, the friends you’re looking for and your dietary info so we can find you a table of new friends who you’re likely to vibe with.
When you arrive, we mark off your name, greet you with a welcome drink, and you’ll write your name tag and mingle while everyone arrives.
The first round is curated - so you get to share some fabulous dishes with your new friends. There are conversation cards on each table to help you bypass the small talk too.
After the first round, we swap tables so you can meet more people.
If you want to kick on after the event, we always organise a bar to go to so you can continue mingling and solidifying those friendships, and make plans to catch up!

Absolutely - in fact we highly encourage coming solo as you’ll make SO many more friends this way. This whole experience is designed for people who don’t know anyone here in Melbourne, and everyone else will be on their own and in the same boat 💛

Being nervous is a completely normal part of this - it means you’re human and that you care about making friends! I can guarantee you, everyone is feeling nervous, so if you go up to anyone and introduce yourself, they’ll be just as relieved to have found a new friend. We promise everyone is so lovely at these events and your nerves will melt away so fast once you arrive!

We put an age bracket on these events because it means we can have a higher concentration of people around the same age, and therefore a higher chance of finding friends at the same life stage.
Our main audience is aged 20-40 however we also do some 35+ events. If you are interested in these, please visit the events page and see what’s on. We currently don’t offer 50+ events but we may look at these down the track once we have more capacity and a bigger team x
